but Epson is still 1/3 the cost of HP cartridges. not as if you're buying razor blades.

I just find it expensive and tedious to pay $60 each month for ink. It was $30-40 before they "fixed" my driver.

The printer itself is almost a giveaway these days... they make their real $$$$ on replacement ink cartridges.

I just bought a brand new Canon combination color printer/scanner for $39! I wonder what the ink cartridges are going to cost me?

Simple solution. Contact Jameston Kroon at Scalefinishes. He'll sell you the factory-correct hue for $10 for a 2-oz bottle. That's 4 times as much paint for the same money! And, after you do your touch-ups, you'll still have enough paint left over to paint a model to match yo big ride!

PLUS, I think it ships free, last time I checked.

There is a move among a LOT of products to do the same thing as others have mentioned razors. At one of our local office supply stores, you could take in your "official" Epson or whatever cartidge, and have it filled with ink, so the system will still recognize that as the correct cartridge.

Heck, there have been times in the last two years, we have actually bought new printers because they were on clearence, for LESS than a replacement cartridge for our previous printer. We have done that twice now.
