impcon
By far and away, the 1959 Chevrolet is IMHO, the prettiest marque to roll out of the GM plants ever!!!! The convertibles look elegant in white and they are one of the few soft tops that look really good with the top up as well as down. My parents bought me a 348 powered convertible in 1974 as an early birthday present. It's an original Snowcrest White car with a red interior and I still have it although it has been in pieces for a long, long time. It's so nice to see one of these sitting as it should and in basic stock configuration. You are doing a nice job on this and you will have something to really be proud of when you are done. Stay with it and get 'er done and we'll all enjoy the pictures. May I ask what prompted you to buy this model and build it as you are doing? always painting
I got the kit off ebay it was a 2 kit bid an the other kit was a 65 impala. The 65 had everything but the body. No one really bid on it an I won the bid for less then 7$. After I got the kits I painted it an let it sit for about 2 weeks. I then started the build and went from just doing a wire here an there I ended up putting them just about everywhere. The caps and tires are from the 55 belair kit.
