Ira
Arm Shocks! The undersides of the Arm Supports are flat and un-detailed, so I decided to add Shocks on the flat undersides. I found these parts in the Snow Speeder Kit. I cut off the ends so they will fit under the Arm Supports. Here they are glued in place. More Coming... Ira
Gun Grebles! I found these Guns in the AT-AT Kit. Just what I was looking for! Here is one of them glued in place. I added on to the other side too. They kind of look like hydraulics or something. I like them! More Coming...
Ira
Prime Time! I applied Filler-Primer to the Body, Legs and other parts. After the Primer was applied, areas that need putty where much easier to see. I applied putty where needed. I applied putty to the inside joints and smoothed the putty with a popsicle stick. This makes a nice curved joint and makes it stronger too. More Coming...

Ira
Nose Job! This part is from the AT-AT Head Section. I thought it might be the perfect addition for the AT Speeder... Here it is glued in place. I also cut two lengths of plastic strip and glued them along the bottom inside edges. More Coming...

Ira
More Gun Greebles! I found these Guns in the AT-AT Kit. They look like they would add some Nice Detail to the Legs. Here is one of the Legs with a Gun Half glued in place. Here is the front and back of the Legs as they are now... More Coming...
Ira
Leg Action! I noticed a photo on the AT-AT Box that looked like it was from the movie. It showed the AT-AT walking with the Legs that were much more animated than the AT-AT Model. I started to pose the AT Speeder Legs and I was surprised to see that the Moveable Legs had very little movement. So I decided to cut out the groove about 1/4 inch more to increase the Leg Action. (This would be much easier to do before the Legs are glued together.) Here is the Leg after modification to show the increased movement. Here is a mock-up showing the way I plan to display the AT-Speeder Legs. The front left Leg will probably be stepping on a rock. More Coming... Ira
Silver! I applied a coat of Flat White Primer over all of the parts. After the Primer dried I masked off the areas on the parts that will remain Flat White. Here are most of the parts after a couple coats of Tamiya Silver Leaf. More Coming... Ira
A Little Red... I added some Red Accents with Water Based Acrylic Paint. The Water Based Paint makes painting details pretty easy. If you make a mistake you can wipe it off with a wet Q-Tip. More Coming...
