miatamadman Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Got this one for Christmas from my in-laws and promptly started it the next day. Being off for the week allowed me to build build build. I started to build this one box stock and then things sort off got out of hand......First, the wheels needed to be a bit larger and the tires wider. I used a set of pegasus's aluminum sleaves with their low profiles up front and higher profile tires in the rear along with some resin disc brakes that I cast. Now I needed to lower it. Easier said than done. The front was pretty simple. Just wack off the wheel moount move it up on the strut. The rear was a bit more difficult. I actually had to cut the floor pan and raise it in order to get the ride hight I was looking for. Finally I sprayed it with Testors Plum Crazy Metalic and clear and finished it my adding a scratchbuilt from spoiler.
Harry P. Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Nice choice on the wheels/tires. They look great on that car!
Raul_Perez Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Very nice build!! I also like the garage scene that you used for the pics!!
Nick F40 Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 I'm not a real big fan of the new Charger, but the Plum Crazy color and the wheels just set it off, I would drive that! Great build.
Enzoenvy1 Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 I have so fallen in love with the new chargers. This is a beautiful one indeed. Traditional color was spot on as the rim idea. I need to get some of those pEgasus sleeves.
MoparMarc Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 The Coronet.................er I mean Charger looks great, the color looks great on it and nice job on the rims.
SteveG Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Nice work Zoli and thanks for the lowering tips, I had noticed they sit kind of high stock. I've got a bunch of these New Charger kits and at least one will converted to a State Patrol or Police Cruiser. I plan to due another in one of the SRT8 packages. Steve
59 chev Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Wow, that thing has attitude! The plum was a nice choice, the wheels also.
Joe Handley Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Looks incredible and clever idea with the rims. The Coronet.................er I mean Charger looks great, the color looks great on it and nice job on the rims. So I'm not the only one who thinks that...........................................................
