superbike-shaun Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Hi all this a 1964 impala that ive been toiling on,(not toileting lol) its mostly gonna be stock, id, like to put a 6 in there but maybe you can give me some advice, who makes a good 6 cylinder or which kit has a good "6" in it? thanks for advice and also thanks for comments, Shaun.s
Tom Geiger Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I believe the six in the 1960 Chevy pickup or the Trumpeter 1963 Nova would be right. The pickup kit would be a lot cheaper. You'd need to look at photos of real cars to see if the air cleaner is right. Ken Kitchen of Kitchen Table Resins makes different Chevy 6 cylinder air cleaners. I know he makes one for the Tri-five years, and one for the 1958 on era right after that.

Funkster Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I don't think that is a 1964 Impala, but a 1962. Picture of the front end would tell us the year for sure but from what I see its a 62!
1 bad55 stan Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Looks nice,i agree with Funkster,its a 62.Like i said though it looks real nice!
StevenGuthmiller Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 It's pretty obvious to me it's the '62 Belair kit. The shape of the vent windows in the first pic & the fact that there's only four tail lights in the last is all the evidence I need. Looking good too! Steve
superbike-shaun Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 HI again, I need to clarify that this build is a 1962 impala not a '64 as previously mentioned sorry for the mis-information and thank you for looking, Shaun.s
Funkster Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Looks good, can we see more and better picture of your 62
