hooknladderno1 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Hi Guys, Seeking opinions on a potential combination for this scratchbuilt tanker body. Any of you that have followed this saga from the original Mack RD cab to custom built Pierce Lance cab will recognize the body. I just acquired a Models by Dave American LaFrance Eagle raised roof cab in a trade. Mocked it up with a pump panel and the tanker body. I've also included the other photos of the tanker bod Does this look more balanced than the other combinations? Thanks. David
tbill Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 to me, the first two pictures have better 'flow', just looks right, if ya know what I mean.
alangarber Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) David, Yes I agree the first two looks right . The others would be fine but the tank looks too tall for those, it just seems to over tower them. Again the final decision is yours as it's your build and it's always good to be different. highway Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I have to go with the flow (no pun intended ) David, the first to pics look like a nice combination. I also like it with the Mack cab, but think it would look much better with the Mack if you used the control box in the pics with the ALF and sectioned the sides to about half the height that they are in the pics. The lower sides would also make it look right for the scratchbuilt cab in the last pic.
Wagoneer81 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 First two pics look best. there's a much better balance with that combination.
