tbill Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 well, almost there with the trailer, stay tuned, almost all done.......
Old Buckaroo Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Yow - that is sharp looking Did you use that Auto Parts store tape for the sides ? What is left - backing the tractor up to it ?
tbill Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Sean, that is plain old tin foil and 3m spray glue have to add the small decals to the front panel and the clearance lights, and the great dane emblems, then I can hook the truck to it
kilrathy10 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) Tin foil and 3M.....Why have I never thought of that??? Excellent idea....I'm totally gonna use that on my next project.....This paint job came out awesome.....Man, that looks good.... Edited June 18, 2014 by kilrathy10
#1Volsfan Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I'm gonna have to try the tin foil and 3M spray glue. That is one of the best looking of these mobieus trailers I have seen. Can't wait to see that Prostar backed up to it. That is one sharp rig and you have done an excellent job on it.
Tesla Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 That is one beautiful trailer! This is going to look great with the Prostar. The tin foil and spray glue = outstanding results!!
Petetrucker07 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Thats gonna look great together. Cant wait to see it hooked up outside. Its gonna be poppin
Biggie Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Lovely project. I like the truck and now with this amazing trailer, well this combo is perfect ! Can't wait for some more pictures
biggreenponcho Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 LOVE that color! As a side note, am the only one who sometimes mis-reads "Prostar" as "Pornstar"
tbill Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 thanks everyone, I am so glad you all like it, and I very much appreciate all the kind words I managed to add some decals tonight, paint on all the lenses is still drying and will need another coat, but, I wanted to post some pic's of the truck and trailer [if the sun ever comes out again, I will take some outside pic's]. so, here we go, I must say, this thing takes up some real estate! way longer than my other truck/trailer combo's
Petetrucker07 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 That really good mr t. The detail is amazing, the trailer great, these moebius kits are just amazing and if you take your time, fit it all correctly, makes the details stand out, and just make our efforts more noticed, by ourselves and others on here. Well done, excellent work bud!
kilrathy10 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Oh, yeah...That looks awesome.....Very nice work.....It flows just as I imagined it would....Seeing these pics makes me want to get busy on another one, myself.....Outstanding....
tbill Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 thanks all. have tomorrow off, so I will finish it up, and if the suns out, will have some outside 'sunny' pic's to load also, just for kicks I measured the thing, just shy of 3ft long
Petetrucker07 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 My wife is already kickin my butt, i dont have a truck and trailer combo done yet, i told her how long, she was not happy. I dont she realizes i have 6 combos planned. Plus the bobtails. Again, beautiful work, cant to see it outside if the weather cooperates
tbill Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 outside in the sun...... well, it is officially done and in the display case with the rest of the fleet now to figure out what to build next................
Old Buckaroo Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) Wow - wow that is really spectacular. Nothing like natural light to bring out the real beauty When you going to add the door signs "Midas Transportation" ? I think you need to build a gold '79 Trans am to go with this Edited June 20, 2014 by Old Buckaroo
Petetrucker07 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) Oh my, that thing very good, and it looks like a beautiful day. Very nice work. Paint job and foil work look gorgeous in the sun He should build a new camaro and try to do a pontiac conversion on it, do a modern day smokey and bear with it Edited June 20, 2014 by Petetrucker07
Tesla Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 The outside pics bring out the best of both. Great work1
tbill Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 thanks guys Jim, waters too cold still to swim [for me anyway, lol] you guys may be on to something with the 'smokey and the bandit' thing, Hobby Lobby has had some 2010 Camaro kits on clearance, may have to see if any are left and do a gold one.... Sean, I like the 'midas transport', may have to eventually make some decals
rctruk Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Wow...I have to agree with every one about how great that looks in the sun. That is a fine looking rig
