Phildaupho Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) The plan is to build a model of the MOMO PorscheC Short-Tail before the end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans at 6AM PDT June 15 and post Under Glass. I am using the Hasegawa 962 kit with the rear wing and wheels from an unfinished Hasegawa Nissan R89C and Fred Cady decals. I started by shortening the tail and undertray and then fitting the wing assembly. Now I can move on to painting. So far the hardest and most time consuming aspect has been doing this post. DynoMight Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Wow, good luck on getting this done in that time period... Do you mean the whole car, painted, decals and all?

PatW Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) As a visitor to Le Mans (not this year but watching it live on Eurosport) it's nice to see a Porsche 962 build up. They were and still are an iconic car. I watched the Le Mans Classic race yesterday morning befor the great race. Most of the grid was Porsches of different ages. But most were the other iconic car the 956 and the 962. Good luck with the build, it looks very good so far! Edited June 15, 2014 by PatW
Jeremy Jon Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Nice start Phil, looking forward to seeing more! The 956 (and 962) were really ahead of thier time, and so dominate for many years This is a fun video to enjoy, and hear about how they first came up with the concept http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZxC-knQmkM&feature=player_embedded
