ryanm Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I think I might make this a neglected saltflat racer we will see. Thanks for looking
DynoMight Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Is it done? Already look like it! Good job, maybe a 70s field find... Edited June 17, 2014 by DynoMight
bpletcher55 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 nice looking weathered 32 , what rusting teck, did you use ? like the old saltflat racer idea , long live rust !
JTalmage Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) Tires and windshield frame are a little on the shiny side, but I think you nailed it!! Would love to do something like this once I get more deuce bodies. Edited June 18, 2014 by JTalmage
mnwildpunk Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Definitely wasn't forgotten in Minnesota cars don't come out on the winning side of the rust fight here lol. But great job on a nice 32
gwolf Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Based on the shot from the rear quarter panel view that is the best rust job I've ever seen. If that build dropped on my lap by magic, I'd rat rod it. New big and little tires and steelies, a Mexican blanket and I'd call it done. Curious what else you have planned.
misterNNL Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Outstanding weathering.Would you please consider posting a tutorial on how you applied that rusty finish?
ryanm Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Thanks everyone I'll have this done soon with new photos in the under glass. As far as tutorial I plan on doing a step by step soon just not sure what kit would be good to use any suggestions would help. Also I'm poor so it's not to often I get a new kit. Thanks again Ryan
