Jon Haigwood Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I have a few Hot Rod projects coming up that I need cycle fenders for. I haven't found any on the resin parts sites. Has anyone tried making them from scratch? I was thinking about trying to make some from styrene and maybe digging out the vacuum former I made years ago and try forming some with that. thanks Jon
Matt T. Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Make them just like the 1:1 guys did back when - cut up a '36 Ford spare tire carrier. Depending on the look you're going for, you can get 2-3 cycles out of one spare carrier. For backs, you can just bob the kit pieces until they look right. HTH.

Steven Zimmerman Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 What about AMT / Revell Prowler front fenders ?
Bernard Kron Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I haven't ordered from them so I can't comment on quality and delivery, but Escort Resin ( http://my.inbox.com/photos/escort500xl/index.aspx ) sell a repop of the AMT 25T Double Kit cycle fenders. Got to the section called "The Parts Box" and click on photo 21.
