Foxer Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I recently recieved an email from Jim Amado at Uptown Automotive saying "We have recently finalized an agreement to have our resin products cast again. I am writing because you had previously expressed interest in one or more of those products. Please advise if, and which, you may still be interested in, so we will know how many to secure for prior backorders". I had inquired abou their 1970's Grumman Curbmaster step van kit. Includes body, floor pan/frame (with integral bumpers), driver's seat, separate doors, wheels/tires, window material, front suspension, and two west coast mirrors. So, take a look at their site and I'd suggest contacting them if you have interest in any of their products. Uptown Automotive
jeffs396 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I think Chuck Most was looking for a set of Jim's vintage International heavy truck wheels?
my80malibu Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I have wanted one of those Curb masters for such a long time now. I know I would get at least two.
Tom Geiger Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 The Curbmaster does look interesting, as does that 1953 Chevy National ambulance body... how was their quality? And since the statement was "We have recently finalized an agreement to have our resin products cast again." it implies that they have someone else do the casting... and how will the quality be from a new caster?
