What a fantastic idea! I never thought I'd see the day! Giving these kids the opportunity to do something with their hands rather than texting or playing video games is brilliant! Steve

"Way cool!"

Thanks Dale.

"Great fun building with kiddos, I've done it myself."

Yes Robin, it was great fun. Thanks for for the comment.

"Very clean work on all of the kits!"

Eric, the kids will appreciate the compliment. Thanks for posting.

"What a fantastic idea!"

Steve, my class sure thought it was a fantastic idea. After I brought the kits into the class, they could hardly wait to get started.

"FANTASTIC!"

Thanks G

"I say they all did a great job!"

Again, thanks for the compliment Dave.

The kids had never used an airbrush before, let alone a double action. I showed them how I used it, and they adapted to what was comfortable and worked for them. They took to it like a duck to water. Even I was more than pleasantly surprised when I saw the results they were achieving.

Those look great, Bill

This really is one of the better ideas of class-time use I've seen in sometime.

It teaches patience, directions, pride in your work, craftsmanship and the importance of doing a job right.

I totally agree Charlie. May have to change to something simpler next year as I changing from Grade 5 to Grade3. Hmm ... possibly 2015 Mustang snap kit?

For simpler kits I recommend the Egg Planes from Hasegawa. 15 parts maybe, great fun to build and super cute. Got a few in my students work thread in All the rest. Go check it out.

Robin, the P-51 and F-16 look great. Congratulations to the builders for a job well done. My challenge is getting the numbers required for my whole class. If Revell adds the 2015 Mustang to the Make N Take program, my problem is solved. :)
