Albert Wallace Jr. Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 With Revell's new '32 tudor kit I just got, I just might try my hand at building my 1st Street Rod model. I saw this on the way to the Long Beach (Ca.) Hi-Performance Swap Meet, and thought Hmmm, I kinda like that. Hosted on Fotki Wish me luck in trying to build a replica. Albert...Riverside, Ca.
peter31a Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Go for it Albert! I know you could do a great job of it!
MrObsessive Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Believe it or not Albert, I also picked up this kit at our club meeting Saturday! I was very impressed by the preliminary reviews of the kit, and couldn't resist buying it. I even have some "reference photos" of the car already saved on my hard disk. I'd like to build mine as a kind of Highboy(?) with cycle fenders. Like you, I've never built a street rod before, so this'll be a "first" for me..............I have a number of builds in mind for '08 that'll be firsts!
MicroNitro Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 hi, you do know the car in the photo is a 28/29 ford not a 32.
bobss396 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Hey man, go for it. Drop a 421 Poncho with trips on it, maybe a tri-colored set of bucket seats and you'll be right at home. Bob

Brian_R Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Albert, Do the shiny one first - you don't need a rust bucket yet. The Poncho power sounds like a good idea for you to try. Brian
mhadman Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I believe that you will have a great time building this, and it will lead to more...Go for it!
peter31a Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Hi Albert! Just so you know the rusty one is a 30 Model A Tudor Sedan. It has more fabric (vinyl) on the roof than the 32 Tudor (among other differences) but you could use it as a template to build a beat up 32. Whichever way you go I'm sure it will be cool! Peter
