carcrazy19 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Nice paint job.....I like it with the wide white walls.
'70 Grande Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I think the narrow white walls are a little more "in-charactor" with the body paint's narrow color strips, so I'd go narrow, too.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Agree with narrow. Look to me like Firestone Supremes, which make me all happy inside. Edited September 25, 2014 by chunkypeanutbutter
tabsscale1 Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Okay got this idea from Steve Boutte. I bought a sheet of styrene that was in the shape of 1/25 scale tin roof. I cut out a sheet of it 3 by 4 inches and made a mold of it. Then I took some Plaid craft enamel paint and poured it into the mold and let it dry. Once I pulled that out I then cut the pieces for the seats that I had cut out and put braces in the back to hold the pieces of paint that I cut to fit. The gold ones are actually painted with lacquer paint. With the craft paint would be able to use any color as the picture show some done in blue. I did most of mine in white to be able to paint it in a color I need.
Ramfins59 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 That's looking really good Todd. I've got one of these cars in the works too. I love the paint colors on yours.
72 Charger Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I would go with narrow white bands too. That shine is great
OldTimer50707 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Looking good. My '57 is next up after I get my wife's Charger done.
tabsscale1 Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 I made a brake drum and backing plate to fill in the Blank space behind the wheels I am using.
