SpeedyOne18 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Good Evening, I am brand new to this site and forum. I used to put together model cars as a teenager just to occupy my OCD, but hadn't done one in YEARS until a few weeks ago. I threw together an '07 Shelby GT500 in just a few days, not putting any effort in. That build brought back the itch, so I needed to do more. The other night I grabbed the '69 Camaro kit to work on. Unfortunately this is going to be another quick build, without the detail I really want. I'm not in a financial position to get all the extra tools and things that I want/need to really slow down and do a great build. Not working with any primer, sanding, etc for now, though I hope to be able to collect these things for future builds. I am still trying to enjoy taking the time and hopefully doing an acceptable job. Below are some pics; I started with the engine block, and added quite a few of the added parts. Any comments, tips, or critiscism is welcome. I'll be posting more as I progress with the project.
slusher Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Mustang looks really good. You have a nice start with the engine on the Camaro build...
SpeedyOne18 Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Thanks for the encouragement everyone. As far as colors DynoMight, I went with Testors Gloss Bright Blue. Need to finish up laying the paint then I'll post pics. Most likely some time this week.

SpeedyOne18 Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) Been moving along with this build. I have the body painted and ready for decals and detailing. Also have the engine attached to the chassis along with the some of the front suspension and the radiator and attached parts. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/016.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/017.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/018.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/019.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/020.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/021.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/022.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/023.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/024.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/025.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/026.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/027.jpeg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102210649/Model%20Builds/'69%20Camaro%20Z28%20RS/028.jpeg Edited August 7, 2014 by SpeedyOne18
SpeedyOne18 Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Had some family issues so I've been away. Things are good now and I'm back at it. I have the exhaust, front, and rear suspension stuff all finished up as well as the wheels put on. Just started work on the tub yesterday, will post pics of that soon.
