They did put out a few versions of the '73-79 Chevy in 1/16 back in the day, though they are very hard to find and/or very expensive.

MPC produced a series of 3-4 different 1/16 scale snap-together '73-'78 C-10 pickups ( representing the Custom Deluxe model , IIRC ) in the early 80's .

Since we are all dreaming here how about a 1:16 Duesenberg chassis with parts for both long and short chassis, regular and supercharged, plus miscellaneous things like bumpers, lights, grill shell, etc. that came with the chassis. Of course taking advantage of all the new technologies for molding and a sheet of photo etch where needed

Then release a bunch of different bodies with the correct interior parts, fenders, and anything else unique to that style. Of course taking advantage of all the new technologies for molding and a sheet of photo etch where needed

Just thinking.....dunno if this has been said, but a 49-51 Merc coupe would be amazing in 1/12th. George Zimmerman was working on one before he died a few years ago. I'd bet that would be one of the most popular large scale models EVER. Definitely needs to be 1/12th scale, though. With a 3" chop top....or...
