gasser59 Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) Thanks Randy. Where have you been hiding? Are we going to see some of your magnificent bench time results? Edited January 19, 2016 by gasser59
gasser59 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Well dang it. My decals came in and they're slightly oversized. Entirely my fault. I've shrunk the artwork down on the file and have printed them out to check the new reduced size before sending them off to Chief Joseph again. Edited January 27, 2016 by gasser59
gasser59 Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 While I wait for the number part of the decals to be reprinted and mailed, here's a preview of the rest of them in place. While working on the body fitment, the grip portion of the steering wheel was knocked off. I've tried twice to glue it back on but the small amount of contact area makes this a real challenge. I've decided to wait until everything else is done so that will be the last thing I do so I don't knock it off again. Hang with me, this'll get done.
Crazy Ed Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Brad if you're gonna be hauling this build to Contests you need to include a Build Book with prints of each step and tooled bit, on the off chance someone didn't get to follow the birth of this, 'cause there's LOTS of details that'll never be seen or realized otherwise.
AZ Boy Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 That just looks fantastic Brad. Great detailing in every corner of this build!
Nytrozilla Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I've decided to wait until everything else is done so that will be the last thing I do so I don't knock it off again.I had a similar experience on a fire extinguisher. The brackets were painted and after installation, I rubbed them off twice before I decided to cover them in foil as the last step on the build.Sorry you couldn't find bigger slicks. I checked my stash to no avail. I think they look great. Love pie crusts. Ummmmm, pie.........The total build is a thing of beautyusness. I should have enough memory on my phone to take 30 or 50 pics of it. See ya' then Bro.
Mooneyzs Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Brad.... this is looking outstanding and I am totally loving it. I bet it feels great ro have it just about done.

gasser59 Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 Thank you very much my brothers. Your interest in this build is greatly appreciated. Yes, Chris, its great to be almost done with this one. I have others to get back to that need to be completed. Joe - thanks for looking for a taller set of pie crusts. And yes, pie sounds really good about now. A reference book on this build would be great but I think I'll just type out a sheet and see how much I can get on it.Please stay tuned, I'm not done with this one yet.

gasser59 Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Thanks for your interest guys. Here's a shot of the final decals. There was a small rectangular one in the lower front which a couldn't make out so I found a generic one. Getting closer to the finish line and well past half track now.
