Brudda Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Made a mistake on the hood. Had to repaint. trying to push for the ultimate finish but paid the price of getting greedy. This is the repaint and I left it alone. Now moving on ,Chassis is next.
Brudda Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Reassembled for fitment. Checking lowered suspension. scratch built parts fit, still have to make rear speaker grills seat belt recievers, and modify a few interior things. The chassis is the standard GT 500 fastback chassis with just lowering mods (I hope)
Brudda Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 Sir Ben , I used sherman williams basecoat torch red and used their hpc 15 clear. The motor was painted with tamiya acrylics
Brudda Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 It is a urethane clear. The mixing ratio is supposed to be 5 to 1 to 1, but for models I mix it 4 to 1 to 1. This makes it a little thinner and more to scale. 4 parts clear, one part hardner ,one part reducer.Automotive paint stores have small mixing cups with mixing ratios on the mixing cup.Hope this helps.
Brudda Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Laying out my interior and going to paint soon. after the interior the suspension is next. Here are some random pics and hope they come out straight.
Brudda Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 I have real undertail of a 5.0 and they are somewhat the same. Brembo brakes and the like. Now that things are made the rest of the build will not take so long.Im hoping to make the NNL WEST, going to be very close.
Brudda Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 Worked on the interior. Been busy with life. Starting to build again.

Belugawrx Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) I seriously thought that last pic was a 1:1 in a showroom!! Stunning detail work here Bruce. Cheers Edited April 21, 2015 by Belugawrx
LaughingIndian Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 That interior and boot are beautiful! Re: sideways photos - Are you opening them in iPhoto or Preview? Once you rotate the pic are you saving? Macs usually have an easier interface ... but a cheap Photoshop LE is a must-have minimum to preserve your beautiful work. In the meantime, your model looks great from any angle.
