1978 Mustang Cobra..OK its an 80 Cobra

Hi there, has anyone seen one of these before? I recently bought it from EBay and the listing read as in the title of this posting. Seller also said it was 1/24th scale.

this is actually a '79. A '78 was a Mustang II

I knew it wasn't a 1978, just wondered if it was rare. It looks to me like a '79 Indy Pace Car.

I compared it to a 1988 MPC GT that I'm building and it isn't quite a 1/25 scale, according to that. Sadly I didn't see where on the chassis it has 1/24 scala (Italian for scale).

It's actually an '80, the '79 Cobra didn't have the pace car air dam.

Nice! And those '94 17" tri-bars look right at home on an early Fox as a replacement for the metric wheels.

Thanks Guys, I had to strip and repaint 3 different times. I was ready to just painted black, and be done with it!!

So, anyway I'm thinking about decaling it as a '79 Pace Car. thoughts and opinions please.
