carsntrucks4you Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Here some pictures of my current project. I changed the wheels and tires with some new ones from Replicas Miniatures. The valve cover willbe also from Norm. The magneto is from Scale Repro Plus. I add a scratchbuild fuel pump to the engine. I can't understand why revell has forgotten the fuel pump.
AZ Boy Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Real nice, Michael! What aftermarket wire wheels did you use? They look great.
booboo60 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Nice classic rail build! Did this rail really run on the track back in the day do you know? I went too the track with my pops when he raced in tne late 60s and early 70s, dont remeber seeing this type race, just wondering

Yes the wire wheels are from Replicas Miniatures, specially for this model like the rear wheels. Nice classic rail build! Did this rail really run on the track back in the day do you know? I went too the track with my pops when he raced in tne late 60s and early 70s, dont remeber seeing this type race, just wondering I think that those kind of rails were running in the early sixties. MADmodelDOCTOR Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 It's going to be a good one. Keep it up! (nice job on the wheels). Later, MmD
Mooneyzs Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Real nice, Michael! What aftermarket wire wheels did you use? They look great. I 2nd this... its a beautiful build. I too am curiois about the front wire wheels. They look great. I have sets in 1/16th scale from machined aluminum specialties and wires seem big compared to these on what I have. Again Nice job on this build.
Daddyfink Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Very nice project! As for the fuel pump, I guess Revell tried keeping true to the original Sizzler dragster kit that did not included a fuel pump as well.
DynoMight Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Buddy of mines dragster LIL HONKER That's cool.
