MikeBoyle Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Another nice Rally car. Wish this was the Escort we got here in the US.
Jaguar man 21 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Agree mike there are so many cars I wish we could get here like the new jaguar xf estate, it's beautiful
heinz74 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 looks really good... these cars are really really fast in real life..even the street version is lethal..a friend of mine drove several.. has nothing to do with a 1,4 version..i can tell you
Maxicoop Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 super build, must be pre-race pictures cause the car is to clean ....hahahaha but you did a beautiful job ........
Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Really nice. I wish Ford had the Cosworth pack here at the time. 4X4 and that engine would be really killer. I drove one of those Escorts for six months, it was my company car at the time, but it was a regular 1.8 liter 16V Zetec, that was a great engine already. It was because of the Escort's influence that I bought my 2001 Ford Focus, with the very same engine. Still have the Focus. Ford for sure knows how to make a great car in small size.
geetee66 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Very crisp! I saw a few 1:1's of this car when they were new (The Marquis of Blandford had one and found infamy in it, when he was found slumped across the passenger seat, whacked outa his gourd on several substances..) The insurance premiums were mile-high, too, as thieves targeted the cars for their ability to out-run the law. That kinda sounded the death-knell for them. Lovely build. I really like it.
