yes thnx yeah same here letters are not readable .. i think with your average printer ists justnot doable :)

i put glass in the small top windows above the counter , will rty to make slinding flass panels for the counter

10600554_529002267232688_486654871762338

then cut some away on the wood on the wall and flattened it all and made a doorframe

10410398_529002260566022_748133045854412

because i cant saw it open anymore (its to hard material) i made a exit sign on the window opening , you cant see but there is a piece of glass in front of the exit sign when light hits it it reflects , rally cool

now my idea for the door is to also make a glass center window .. but then try to print like a shoplogo but then mirrored and make it so it looks like frosted glass with a logo and we see the back of that .. if that isnt nice i will make a all wood door ...

made the shop logo mirrored , made the surface a bit light grey with a tiny grain in it , to create the solution its frosted glass with the logo

with the glass on the logo it just reflects , pics are crappy , not much light in the evening , i think with daylight it will pop more

first set back , when i made a power feed to the lift .. i created something that looked terrible , but when removing that i got a hole in the plastic wall , could not make anything out of the situation , so i removed the shop logo and made a whole new piece of wall (just the plastic) on the left wall..

then made like a powerdistribution rail along and above the wood trim along the wall and made a steel pipe from the bridge in a bend into there

i just changed the brackets on the iron pipe from the bridge and added bolts using steel pins ..

hard stuff i have pretty big hands .. i lost like 8 pins in the progress :) cant find them

nice work RICHARD , is it me or dose that pipe work look just a tad big ? .nut busting you balls or any thing just thought i,d say something .

naah , its ment like alu / iron hollow piping and the cables run through those , this is also like safety and for the bridge you would have a pretty nice cable(s) , also the one going from one pillar to the next also doubles a bot as a stability thing ..

all other powerlines and stuff will be real thin .. this is just a mantle where cables run through ..

i actually saw something like this on machinery in a real workshop , thats how i got the idea ... they often use like thicker pipes to run cables through ..

ps the pics above are pretty close up , irl it looks way thinner , i will post some pics tomorrow when the light is good from a more normal distance m8

just got the idea to make a simple hand wheel wrench ...just to see how making tools would go ...maybe after this i can make a torck wrench

bend some plastic rod , a small brass bisch over that , piece of sprue with a hole drilled in it

482303_531252280341020_86427510466083981

put a pin in the back just for looks with a round head

10001332_531252283674353_162186351732557

then sprayed some chrome , when dry the handle needs to be painted matt black to resemble rubber

thnx bob and well its also nice for some beginners maybe like they can get idea's on how to use dif. materials and in a simple way make stuff .. sometimes certain things are really just super simple and easy to make out of scrap stuff

i also got a lot of inspiration when i started on my first dio (the hotrod garage) just from seeing other peoples topics with build pics a

finished the hand wrench , just made the handle matt black and put a little drop of black inside the hole of the part that go's on the lugnut ...

thnx peter , the floor is actually soo simple > its wood , i painted it matt grey , then took car bondo and with a flat piece of plastic pulled bondo over the whole floor , it sticks to certain places and in some places it doesnt , just a tiny thin layer ..

then when almost dry i rubberd it with a cloth ... then left it to dry to end up with a greay and white floor (grey paint and white bondo).

then just sanded it a tiny bot woth superfine paper to make it so there are no bog high spots in it .. and then just washed over with different paints and washes .. i always just try something so i dont even know what it was i put over it lol

but the effect you see is because the washes thatw ent on last cover the grey more then the white of the bondo and so you end up with almost one tone of color but different strenghts so you get this effect basicly

today i washed the inside of the garage lift guide / runner with black oil paint .. the oil paint leaves room to tone it down after aplying , stuff takes forever to be dry enough to really toutch without wiping it off again ..

its ment like black old grease ... so the inside is pich black and more towards the edge it becomes lighter ....

also gave the pipe going from the lift to the wall and along the wall more depth , used a pin and black enamel and painted black lines along all edges in the trasitions and also the bolts , then with a wet cue-tip toned it down

for me its got more depth and looks less sterile .. i said i would do mild weathering , really being carefull i want to keep a tidy clean shop but some stuff just needs some weathering .. when i'm further along i might do a occasional smudge from a hand like on the lift post .. nothing real obvious but just noticeable

here you see the edge being lighter and not all is equaly covered , tried to make it look like marks from going up and down and not spreading evenly
