crazyrichard Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 thnx the clear coat was dry so i just cut the circle out .. and stuck it on the wall with some spit (letterly) haha just to see , so its not fixed yet ...maybe i will make a spacer so its a bit of the wall and some shade will show on the wall
crazyrichard Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) the sign is on with a spacer now , glued so its done Edited August 28, 2014 by crazyrichard
crazyrichard Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 whell i got the idea to do a piece of tile floor and try to blend it into the painted floor , so i opened photoshop and designed my own floor in diamond chekers with the shop logo ... now this is just regulair a4 paper , in the top corner you can already see how nice it blends into the floor of the garage , when i seal this with varnish and glue it on i think it will look killer .. nobody would suspect its just regulair paper now i can also make like a partician or a wall with big windows , and a door , so its like a reception / office .. all just a testfase
gasser59 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Oh yeah!! Was wondering when you'd get back to building another dio. Love following your thread and the flow of your imagination. Go man go!!
crazyrichard Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 thnx guys whell having loads of fun again ... the only downside of dio building is they take up a lot of space .. but whell i just love to build them , this one is my third (hotrod garage > gasstation > now this one)
crazyrichard Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 whell the floor is in .. now working on low partician walls ... went for low ones because that way you can still see everything , i tried high walls but that takes away to much from the windows on the side ... making the wall wide so later i can put stuff on it , maybe some old oild cans etc ... now the walls will be the same as the outer walls so ribbed panels in silver , the top of the walls will be covered with the hardwood strips i have on the walls and stained the same way , so it becomes one whole and the same theme / look .. just a rough start >
crazyrichard Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 changed the floor to just a checker without the logo , easyer to put stuff in , i'm thinking 50's styled barstools , a bench , desk , coke machine .. already making a custom clock for the wall using a old watch for parts workbenches will be like steel red lockers with a wooden worktop etc ...
crazyrichard Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 bench for the chill earea , old kit bench with diamond pattern , lego block and some styrene headrest
crazyrichard Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 thnx the bencj got some primer and a coat of red .. now maybe try to color the buttons , chrome trim at the bottom ? hmm i will try some stuff
crazyrichard Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 just , added a white edge , painted the buttons chrome and found a nice chrome logo i thought spiced up the look of the bench a bit
bpletcher55 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 looks good to me ,has that 50,s / 60,s dinner feel to it ,
crazyrichard Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 yes i could have easely made thisa into a diner lol . but that said a lot of garage pics have like this style in there .. just more expansive mancave garage theme perhaps ?? made 2 high stools from van seats and steel bases from christmas lights , add a table taler .. just using stuff i collected for a while and get creative with the stuff i have lying around
crazyrichard Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 yes jukebox could be cool , table will be made next , some car magazines on it seats are done
bpletcher55 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 THIS COOL ! I,d hang out there ,by the way nice merc ,

crazyrichard Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 thnx and no i wont hahaha just made the table .. took me like 15 minutes lol , searching the partsboxes ... used the base from old christmass light thingy , matches the seat base , only on this i grinded off the standing piece (thick piece) , then used old sprue with a rear piece of a kit wheel on top .. on that a real glass plate from a old watch now its paint time
