hooknladderno1 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Hi Gang, Lettering and graphics play an important role in the appearance of our models. On the build pictured below, I am torn between using the blue or the gold "PARAMEDIC RESCUE" lettering. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help! David
alangarber Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 The Blue stands out more but the Gold is the best choice and more realistic looking, It's almost reflective as well. Thats just me though.
Petetrucker07 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Gold, looks more like what would be rollin out of the fire house
disabled modeler Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I like it both ways but the blue more matches the stripes to me?
hooknladderno1 Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Hi Guys, Thanks for your input! I have decided to stick with the gold. That was my original choice, but a little confirmation never hurts. There is a blue drop shadow underneath. It just appears black in the photo... I appreciate all of your suggestions! David
Brinx Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Hmmm, tough choice, How about leaving as is? That way you can have it both ways. Depending on how you display it, we can only see one side at a time anyway. brinx
hooknladderno1 Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Brinx, Interesting concept! As I have a whole "Station" of apparatus for this company, I plan to take group photos. Most of this station's vehicles have either gold lettering with the blue drop shadow or plain blue... David
scummy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 What colour are the real ones in the states ? Here in australia the lettering is red reflective tape . The gold does look cool though .
Brinx Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 David, You could always explain (blame) any difference in things such as lettering on the vehicle being ordered under the out-going chief or the different members on this year's truck committee. brinx
