cruz Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 I will be using Norms interior parts to complete the interior of this model, I will have to make some mounting holes on the door panels and also Alclad some of these parts to do my final touch ups!!!! They look excellent....just the job for those bald door inners Please can you tell me where I might buy these? I'd have to import them, but it'd be worth it. I ordered some PE handles from Detail Master, but I think these arm rests will add that little bit extra. Is there anywhere I can get 'em mail order to the UK? thanks Yes Mr. Turner, you can contact Norm at his e-mail address (replmincomd@aol.com) or give him a ring at 410-768-3648. Just to give you a heads up, you will not find better resin casted parts in the WORLD! His catalogue is full of goodies so don't forget to request one!!!!!
geetee66 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Thankyou for the info, Marcos. Much appreciated. I'l definately be putting dollars in his pocket! I'd better get on with it...dunno how the £ is going to fair against the $ over the next few weeks. Nice one mate
cruz Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Worked a bit last night with the completion of the chassis and interior!!!!
Gray Smith Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 the white and dark green in the interior looks good Marcos. I love what revell did with this one(and the 32 sedan) even though they missed the arm rests and handles..lol keep up the great work on it, look forward to seeing it done. Gray
Harry P. Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Fantastic work! Your level of detail is amazing. It's a shame such a nice interior will be so hard to see once everything's done!
cruz Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 I was able to do some work on the Merc and add a little to it's progress!!! I was gonna use the embossing powder for the carpet but seeing that this car's interior will not be seen much because of the "chop" I decided to use some textured paint I had laying around!!! Went ahead and Alcladed the interior door gadgets and painted the armrest to match the Verdoro Green on the door panels!!! Used a needle pin for the stick shift and decided to make it standard and not automatic, added a clutch!! Added some more detail to the engine bay by hooking up the fuel lines and adding the Optima battery to the engine compartment!!!
geetee66 Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Outstanding! I'm really enjoying the progress pics. I learn something new every time I visit this forum. I have only been building for a year (4 models, so-far) and I never knew such detail was possible in this scale. Truly inspirational!

dub Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Man, Cruz. This thing is a detail monster! I know why you're doing this much to this one. You're trying to get Bill to get crackin' on his! It'll be cool to see one of these with the doors opening. Of course, that's if he doesn't make it stock!!!! I wonder what this thing will bring when you donate it for auction in November!
