carcrazy19 Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) Small update. I've made a little progress but I only get about 3 or 4 hours a week of build time so I thought I would show some pics. I finished sanding the body work smoothed the vents on the cowl panel and filled in the thin gap under the hood with some styrene. Also I scribed out the partition between the front fenders and the rocker panels and decided to lower the rear end a little bit more so I now have the stance I want, I started to scribe out the window moldings but man is that a PITA. I think I'm just going to do the moldings a little at a time. Even though there isn't a lot done thought I would give an update any way. Edited September 28, 2014 by carcrazy19
DeeCee Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Now, that sits very nicely mate. Like the wheel choice too.
carcrazy19 Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) Here are some more pics of the modifications that I did. I smoothed out the inner fender wells so that the engine compartment had a cleaner look. i also cut about an 1/8th inch off the bottom of the firewall, radiator support, and inner fender wells so that I could get it to sit low. Next step will be the suspension mods. Here are some pics of the progress.... Well I wanted to down load more pics of my progress but for some reason it wouldn't work but at least you can see how the engine compartment turned out. Feel free to ask any questions. 426-Hemi Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Some of the decals you guys do and make just confounds me.....I have no way to print decals (NO printer) BUT this makes me wonder....I love how all this looks! So.........GREAT JOB so far! (Needless to say for me, I too am a HUGE Mopar fan!)
carcrazy19 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 Well I had an unfortunate event happen a couple of weeks ago. My house caught fire and most of my modeling supplies, tools, and kits were lost including this project. I had hoped that after the fire it would have been saved but while our things were being itemized it was lost. I was able to get back a couple of kits but I guess I'll have to start over when I am able to. Most importantly my children, wife, pets and I are all safe and unharmed. I won't be doing any builds for awhile as we are now in the process of rebuilding our home and lives. Sorry for the bad news....I was really into this build but forces out my control ended it abruptly. Well take care and hope to be back soon.
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Sorry to here of your misfortune. Glad your family and pets were unharmed. Loved ones can't be replaced things can.
DynoMight Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Wow that's rough. Any idea what caused the fire? Glad that everyone is okay. That's really rough.
CJ1971 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Extremely sorry to hear mate! ? But as has been said, you & your family are safe ?? Everything else IS replaceable ? Take your time, get your life etc sorted & when you're ready... Forum & modelling will still be here ??

jaftygas Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) I to had a fire about eight years ago, loss everything even my French bull dog Popcorn R.I.P. Some stuff will affect you for years to come when you can't find something and it will dawn on you. And if you're like my wife ..... Well tears. You slowly get over it. Take your time and know that this to will pass. Models are cheap lives have no replacement. Chin up you will win. Edited November 20, 2014 by jaftygas
johnbuzzed Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 The important thing is that you and your family are fine. I hope all goes well for you as time goes by. You'll be building again before you know it.
