Crazy Ed Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I recall the yellow cotton dress Foaming like a wave On the ground around your knees It's That Soggy Cake Song!! McArthur Park, by Richard Harris
Harry P. Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Breathe deep the gathering gloom watch lights fade from every room Pensitive people look back in lament... another day's useless energy spent... Empassioned lovers wrestle as one... Lonely man cries out for love but has none... Cold hearted orb that rules the night removes the colors from our sight. Red is gray; and yellow–white. But we decide which is right... and which is an illusion... (done strictly from memory, no googling!)

Harry P. Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 If your a MB fan this is easy!!!! I'm not really a big fan, but for some reason I remember those lyrics. Weird how some things just stick in your head for no apparent reason.
Harry P. Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 ok guys... I'm getting tired of posting lyrics that nobody has the answer for... , so put on your thinking caps (or listening caps!) and figure this one out. I'll even give you a big hint: This band is huge... one of the biggest of all time. "Now I have seen the warnings screaming from all sides. And it's easy to ignore them–God knows I've tried. All of this temptation, you know it turned my faith to lies, Until I couldn't see the danger or hear the rising tide"...
Scale-Master Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I know how ya feel Harry, I don't think any of the ones I posted were guessed/answered.Hopefully this makes you feel better...Floyd - Take it Back.FWIW, the Moody Blues stuff was too easy, at least for a fan like me...
slusher Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 "Caribbean current, please take me... I hear you callin' me home. Got to get back to Jamaica, I want no more to roam"... Doobie Bros - Mamaloi
slusher Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 A journey is plastic for someone who's walking on air he falls through elastic and there is no net waiting there The Guess Who - When friends fall out
Mike_G Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 The Guess Who - When friends fall out Good job! I got that album when I was a kid and played it to death.
tubbs Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 ok guys... I'm getting tired of posting lyrics that nobody has the answer for... , so put on your thinking caps (or listening caps!) and figure this one out. I'll even give you a big hint: This band is huge... one of the biggest of all time. never fear, TUBBS IS HEAR....er, BACK! took a little hiatus from here, don't know why. I think people are getting into the groove of maybe not knowing some of the lyrics, passing them up and posting 2 or 3 more sets of words and then things get buried. it's stupid to put down rules on such a great thread but maybe if a lyric does not get guessed for maybe 20 or so posts, add another line or so, or drop hints till it is gotten or after so many posts, just post the answer. I try to go back and find ones that have not been guessed, but sometimes it's too hard..... anyways.... And your mind, your tiny mind, you know you've really been so blind. Now 's your time burn your mind. You're falling far too far behind.
tubbs Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) sorry double post.... Edited April 21, 2015 by tubbs

Crazy Ed Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 . as far as the one you posted, not sure I ever heard that one. It would seem you're in Good Company as no one else got it either. The New Christy Minstrels was a Pop/Folk light Rock group that had MANY of the eras Folk/Rock people pass through. If you were to do a You Tube on Green Green I'd be suprised if you didn't go "Oh Yea" within the first 20 seconds.

I will give it a listen, unfortunately youtube is blocked here at work.
