The Modeling Hermit Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) It's a pleasant Iowa day in the mid-1970s and this group is busy preparing for a wild night of 1/2 mile dirt track racing action. That little Camaro has garnered more than it's share of trophys and will likely add another one in just a few hours. Edited September 14, 2014 by Kodiak Island Modeler

The Modeling Hermit Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 I do have some more photos, but unfortunately things didn't go so well at the last night of racing. While leading the main event race, and just two laps from the end, there was a loud clattering noise and lots of smoke and oil gushing all over the place. Our crew isn't as happy and relaxed as they were before the night's racing. She just got a good cleaning to get the oil off of the body. Judging by the way the people on the end are looking at the poor kid in the middle, we can tell who gets to clean the engine compartment. Now that the fun part's over; the work begins. It won't be hard to guess who's going to be the first to start turning wrenches.
skymnky721 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 "poor kid in the middle" lol thats too funny,,nice work guy
