jjsipes Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Don Grotheer Pro Stock Built with the Sox and Martin Cuda Kit. All colors are painted not decals. Wheels are off Ebay by seller t.m.resin. Rear tires are kit with Slixx Firestone decals and kit Drag 500 decals then dullcoted. Front tires are parts box that I cleaned up sidewall to take lettering off and then Slixx Firestone decals and dullcoted
Burnout Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Looks really nice. You did a nice job with the paint scheme. Window trim looks good too - is it foil or paint? Either way, looks very nice.
vintagedragcrazy Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 very nice are those the new slixx decals i seen that they have them now? vince
jjsipes Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 Thanks guys. The window trim is foil. The decals area set that I got a few years ago off ebay, I believe they were a set of Billy Gooch but not 100% sure on that. It's not perfect but looks good on the shelf.
AC Norton Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 just dynamite....one of the nicest '70 season pro cars ever. grotheers cars were always clean, well prepared, and quick. your piece tells that story perfectly. terrific work..............the ace............
jjsipes Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 Forgot to mention that the colors I used were, Testors Lacquer White, Testors Hemi Orange and Scale Finishes B5 Bright Blue Met. Not sure if colors are exact but looked to close to my eye.
