A couple F-1's

Got a couple F-1's on the bench...

First up is my 50 model....used a Nascar suspension on the front to get it low and flipped the rear axle...

Mock up & prep

Some color

Final coat of color and clear

And some bed work...This is painted and foiled

Next up is my 51 F1...Fenders,hood and grilles are from RMR resins..... Thinking about doing a Sanford and Son 2014 version

Bob,on the beed I used detail master wood for a base color...Then I used a make up sponge and cheap acrylics,burtn umber and burnt sienna... I dry brushed by going from light to dark on it

Had the cab and bed mess up on me for the 51 but finally was able to get another one...The other cab I just made into a ruster

Both are great, but that '51 knocks me over. Just love that grille and the wheels, going to have to steal that idea.

It is a great build and it looks great.

But I must say that RMR sold you a '52 instead of a '51. The hood ornament and the V8 at the front of the hood are from a 1952 model. The '51 had the Ford Scripts at the hood front instead of the v8 sign. The V8 sign is on the upper panel between the fenders. I need these parts for my '52 F1 but RMR don't ship overseas

Keep in mind that the dashboard of a '51/'52 ist different from a '48-'50. Kitchen Table Resin has one.

Thanks everyone.. I picked up the decals from ebay

The RMR comes with both 51/52 stuff... I used the 52 ornament bc I like the v8 symbol better..It also comes with the 51/52 dash

If ya want one we may see about getting you one sent to me then I can just send it to ya..
