I recall several guys wanting to see what this paint looked like, so I picked up a can at my LHS today. One coat of Tamiya white primer, one wet coat of White Lightning and one wet coat of Tamiya TS-13 clear in the course of one hour. Probably broke a rule or three just to show you this.

Looks just like the cap on the can. Doesn't look too "bass boatish" either. It's a nice bright white and will look good on a model.

Although I only sprayed a spoon, I was impressed with how it sprayed. I look forward to spraying a whole body with it. I also look forward to more spoon tests with the other "One Coat Lacquers" I have; Revving Red, Inca Gold, Blazing Black, and Firey Orange.

Thanks, Testors!!!

I've played around with this same paint and I agree; it is definitely a pearl. I agree that it appears to be decent scale, too. I've picked up about four different colors myself, but only used two so far. The only problem I encountered was the clear lacquer I've been using over every other paint under the sun just fine, causes this one to get a "hammered" finish. No big deal, not many people are going to have this problem because the clear is from VW's touch-up line. Let's see those other colors, Marc! B)

Yeah, that's nice. I see I'm going to have to try and find some of this new paint to try out on my own. Thanks for the spoon test Marc!

Looks great.

thats a nice color Marc, I'll have to get ahold of some of it. All I've got so far is the inca gold..shot some tamiya clear red over it the other day and its purdy..

I'll probably buy at least a can each of these new colors eventually.

Thanks for doing that Marc....that's a great color. I can think of several things I want to use that on. You say the name is White Lightning, eh? A while back, probably 2006, I pulled out my Ford Lightning F-150 and was planning on painting it pearl white and calling it....what else, White Lightning!!

I didn't get too far on it though, I don't think I painted anything, but I think I did get as much of the engine and suspension as I could assemble before painting done.

It doesn't seem like either of my two local shops are going to stock these, so I guess I will have to mail order them.

Marc, I ordered White Lightning and Fiery Orange with the clear coat.

I want to get some Inca Gold sometime too, but these two colors were the ones I was really interested in.

The green interests me as well, but I can see adding this whole line in my paint arsenal.

'I's be gettin' me some white litnin' right soon...soon as she finshes drippin' inta the buket...then I'm gonna por me a few drops inta my faveoright botl and have me a taste :) You been drinkin' it by the spoon? Ain't that a mite slow way to drink? Shor is hard to carry 'round that way two :P

This is a photo of the Revell 49 Merc painted with the Testors Diamond Dust...wow...it is a high solids paint that covers well and may need sunglasses when outside. I like it! Today I picked up a can of the White Lightning based on your spoon test, Thanks.

Cool paint!! I'm glad I picked a can up back in November!

I bought some of the purple. As the article in Model Cars mentions, this paint really comes out of the can with a lot of force. I held the engine 2 feet away to avoid runs. I really like the way it dries and am looking forward to painting a whole model car body with it.
