Started this one a LONG time ago, then a couple years ago finally got the urge to kick it through the goal posts. Completely out of the box. Paint is Model Master British Green lightened a little with Turn Signal Amber; cleared with Model Master Clear Top Coat and polished out. The kit decals were a joy to work with except they didn't fit around the flap opening of the cowl induction thingie. Tried to touch them up with white but it was TOO white against the decal on the dark body; found out that Model Master 36622 Camo Gray--the underside color of USAF airplanes from the Vietnam War--was a near-perfect match.

I don't particularly like this kit--I think some of the body shape is off--but I was pretty happy with how this model came out, finally. I think Revell's 1/25 snapper '70 Chevelle has the best body overall of any, but hey, I'm not an expert on '70 Chevelles.

Very nice. There used to be a SS 396 car around here years ago in that exact same color combination. Seeing this brought back some good memories.
