508boricua Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 Another masterpiece Delfin.......great job! Thank you Ken, I really appreciate you and everybody else's awesome comments.
508boricua Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 Brilliant, I'm hoping build more of these, hellaflush and bosozoku style cars. The wheels are great as well but buying the parts and tyres to fit here in the UK is near impossible, and I don't have a lathe or the experience to use one! Delfin were the wheel arches included with the body? Thank you Patrick. No, these wheels did not come with this kit. But it did come with some beautiful Watanabe's excellent for another future build. The wheels that are on this build were made by using some aluminum barrels from some Aoshimsa wheels and I shaved down some wheels from another kit to slide in as the inserts.
508boricua Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 Certainly my cup of tea, I get tired of seeing the same Mustangs and 32 Ford's done to death so I always look forward to your build's. Great job as usual Delfin..I like the motor, added details and the wheel's are perfect. Thank you Steven!
508boricua Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 You're right that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but you did a fantastic job on it! Thank you Harry.
Tonioseven Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I already told you how I feel about it but now I see it on my monitor here at work and WOW!!! I LOVE it!!
6bblbird Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Great job! Shows your passion for the subject matter. WF
PatW Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Yes thanks about the wheels, but were the extended arches included in the kit?

Delfin were the wheel arches included with the body? I'll second the wishes for more bosozoku vehicles! As a 1:1 enthusiast, I think they're ridiculous, but I still appreciate the commitment the owners put into such extreme modifications. I feel the same way about a well executed donk.
niteowl7710 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Yes thanks about the wheels, but were the extended arches included in the kit? I think Delfin's arches come from another older Aoshima kit, however if you want a Trueno with arches straight out of the box you're looking for this TRD Trueno N2 kithttp://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10198718 It's a curbside (as is the similar TRD Levin N2 if you prefer the non-hidden headlights style), but the engine insert is available in a number of releases, but the ones currently available are Aoshima's "Initial D" Trueno kits -http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10183076http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10192570 The Volume 37 version is from later in the series and offers a roll cage, a "Weber Style" intake, racing seats, etc. The Volume 1 represents the car at the very opening of the comic and is pretty much a factory stock Trueno.
JoeBrown Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 i have a few ae86's I'm building and i love how well the kits are made
508boricua Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 Yes thanks about the wheels, but were the extended arches included in the kit? Yes, they did come with the kit. Thanks again Patrick.

Thanks. This is the TRD N2 kit. I stole the motor out of Takumi's old Trueno. Got the side drafts from Model Meister.

PatW Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Hi Delfin I've gone a bit newer for my next build, I've ordered the Toyota 86 Greddy & Rocket Bunny Enkai S Package and two extra sets of arches for future builds from HLJ.
