High octane Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 They all look just "dandy." Nice job on those Mopars!
funhouse1 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Love these, especially the '65 AWB!...Hey, on that Drag-On Lady kit conversion where did you get the Cragar S/S wheels? I've got one of those kits and was horrified to find that the wheels included were not the Cragars that are in the '67 Charger kit and others...instead it has wheels that look like some bizarre cross between Cragar S/Ss with Keystone Kustomags (they have a Keystoneish flair at the end of the spokes) Totally useless...

I don't recall what I had used, maybe a set of the Cragars out of the Landy Dart. If I remember, when the Drag-On Lady kit came out, mine had the Cragars in it I believe but then I bought another one later and it had the Cragar/Keystone things in it. Not sure why it would have changed but if you look at ModelRoundup kit listing it shows what appears to be a Cragar mag on the boxtop which I believe mine had.
John Pol Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 What silver paint did you use they look great

I just had someone else tell me the Cragstones looked a lot like the wheels included in the Polar Lights '65 Coronet kit! In any case don't mean to hijack this post which should be focused on your outstanding builds...
jjsipes Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 What silver paint did you use they look great To my recollection it was just a can of Duplicolor Silver MC. Nothing special. Thought it was a nice silver and used it. The 65 has a Duplicolor Slate Grey Met. on it. Pictures I have seen showed this car to be a little darker so I went just alittle darker on it.
catpack68 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 all 5 models look great.do you have any info or a web address for the decals used on the 67 coronet?
jjsipes Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 No I don't have any info on Special Appearance decals. Sorry guys, they may be out of business but I am not sure. Might bop up on ebay at times though.
jeffaary Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Special Appearance is still alive and kicking. I just bought a bunch of Mopar drag decals from him. A pretty big catalog, very high quality, and he will print them in multiple scales: John Beckens specialappearancedecals@yahoo.com
