freakshow12 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Great start. I want to lean that rusty technique some day
webestang Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Looks old and nasty........and cool. Nice weathering.
JTalmage Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Great start. I want to lean that rusty technique some day Its easier than you think. But its easier to make it look goofy as well.
captin Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Thanks guys! And Fred the weathering process is easy to do and its a fun process to do my favorite way to do a model.
10thumbs Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Hi Chris, are the pics so small or is it my PC? Good project you've started. Michael
captin Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Ya sorry about the pics guys I've tried to put bigger pics on there but it kept saying that the picture was to big to load on the forum. You guys know anyway I can get better pictures?
10thumbs Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Chris, I use a little tool called jpeg Compressor for all of my pics. Super easy. I have it set at 68kb, 800x600. This allows me to post on any forum. Even if the pics are like 45kb, I use it with success. I'm sure others will chime in and make suggestions too. All of the pics I've posted here have been from this small program. The pics shown are big enough, and when clicked they go almost to full screen. Michael Edited September 25, 2014 by 10thumbs

slusher Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Real nice progress Chris. Great weathering..
captin Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Thanks guys this one is going together really quick and smooth first time doing this kit and I think its my favorite one to build.
captin Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Made the exhaust tips for the 37 ford still have to weather them yet and starting the interior too.
slusher Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Nice pictures I like how you weathered the chassis. Did you black wash the engine??
chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 That's a paper bag on the seat, right? I should try that.
captin Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 Thanks, and yes I did black wash the engine. And its actually one of those brown napkins you get at fast food restaurants. All I did was cut a piece to fit the seat dipped it in a mix of craft glue and water then applied it to my liking works out pretty nice when it all finished.
