berr13 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 That's one good looking Willys! I really like the paint, too--I've got to get me some of that and try it on something. Did you use a color base coat? Again, congrats on a great model!
Scalper Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Turned out nice.. I had coverage issues with that paint but turned out great on yours.
ZIL 111V Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 Thx again for great comments ... "Coverage issues " know what you mean...Here's my 5 cents tip... No base coat, but many, many...many, "thin" coats to build a "deep &... even" effect, believe me one heavy coat wont give you the great result I got on this "Fat fendered" gasser. "One coat", like Testors advertise on the can is not the best way to achieve a perfect result, (at least in my case when i use those Lacquer Kustom colors on my models), maybe on a "skate board" but surely not on a 1/25th scale car body, you definitely need to spray many thin "dust" coats to achieve a nice coverage & "even" metallic finish, let the paint layers dry a week to assure that metallic pigments wont "rundown" when it will be time to "shoot" the clear coats...again thin coats
Eric N. Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Very nice! I want to build one-Can't decide on a color. Red,Green,Orande,OR Blue.!
