Here is my new project, a AMT 06 Camaro. Most parts have some light flash on them and the body have some imperfections here and there but nothing to bad. I'll start by cleaning up some parts and stripping the chrome of all the chrome parts.

Good luck with this one, it can be a nice looking kit, but it's gonna be a fight! I just finished one with my daughter, and discovered that it takes way more work than necessary to get the chassis and body lined up properly. I finally gave up, deleted the under-hood filler, glued the hood shut, and used lots of superglue to get the chassis to stay where it was supposed to be!

Good luck on this project as well! I'll be sure to follow this one.

I thought I was the only one with chassis problems on this model (figured I had warped the body and/or chassis while handling).... I also had trouble with the front fog lights fitting properly but my box art is different (had a red Camaro on it and came molded in red, but still an '06 and from AMT) so hopefully that won't happen with you. Don't worry though, yours will definitely turn out a lot better than mine!

Anthony, I built the same one you had, and had a severely warped interior, mildly warped chassis, and the same issue with the fog lights. I sanded the outside of the fog lights down until they sat recessed and it finally worked.

I built this kit when it came out and enjoyed it. I did leave the engine chrome and it should be black I think. Mine came out pretty good. if you want a picture let me know..

Thanks for the heads up.

I started on a bit of body work. Most of the mold lines have been taken care of, and also the hood wouldn't sit flush so i had to bent it a bit here and there till it laid like it should.PA180405_zps48193d67.jpgPA180406_zps4fcece4e.jpgPA180411_zps7075c1a7.jpgI also made the kit wheels black chrome by decanting some gloss clear and mixing a couple of drops of black paint. And the chassis is about 80% done. Thanks for looking!

Found a bit more time to do a little more. I started the interior and started to correct more of the body issues.

still working on this one slowly. I had a little issue on the front bumper and after i finished all the body work on it, I messed it up while dry fitting the fog lights . So while I continue working on the front bumper I also did some under the hood trying to cover some of the mold marks. I also started on the interior and put some embossing powder to simulate carpeting. its not perfect but it will hardly be visible. Thanks for looking.
