Danno Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Why is that one "definitely" a PS job, but not the other? Because he said so.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 A line hanging down from that Falcon. There's always a possibility it could be real... Not likely, but possibly. Pardon me for being too optimistic
Mike_G Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 If I was growing a tree through a hole in the hood of a car, I might periodically enlarge the hole with my sawzall
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 A line hanging down from that Falcon. And hanging down in an "S" shape that defies gravity...
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Did you notice the amazing branch that turns invisible?
chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 That "branch" looks like a pillar to me. Line could be blowing in the wind. If it is Photoshopped, great job for the artist for convincing me. But, it appears real to me.
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 That "branch" looks like a pillar to me. You may be right. But there's still something weird going on there just above it... that odd little gap in the leaves. The tree just doesn't look right in that area.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Yeah, it makes a line with the pillar going all the way up... Strange. Like I said, might be, might not be. I was trying to see which way the car is slanted, also. Seems to be pointed downwards toward the bottom right of the picture, where most of the mold/mildew/whateveritis is situated on the vehicle. It would make the most sense as that's where rain would run.
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Here's another angle of the supposedly same photo. The tree branches don't match up.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 There isn't as much rust on the last picture you put up. Either someone put a filter on it or it's really an old picture. Anyways, how in the good name of f*** do you get a Falcon up in a tree with no hills around? A crane? Aliens? Hulk Hogan?
chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Read this page. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/411944/416310.html?1390081013 This Falcon is in Australia, as is this Holden. Any of you Aussies, is this some sort of hobby for people Down Under or summat? Edited October 8, 2014 by chunkypeanutbutter
Guest Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I was being sarcastic. Of course the guy didn't have any way of determining the size of the hole up front. That's my point. It's a Photoshopped image. So, you don't think it's possible that the person that owns the car couldn't have enlarged the hole in the hood as the tree grew? Notice the passenger side of the hood opening. The tree is against the opening and beginning to grow over top of it. It's not a Photoshop.
Guest Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 The line hanging down on the Falcon could be a brake line, gas line or an emergency brake cable. Any of which that would retain their shape. A crooked piece of steel line isn't going to magically straighten itself just because it's hanging down.
Greg Myers Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) and this one ? Edited October 8, 2014 by Greg Myers
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 For all of you people who actually believe these "cars in trees" photos are real, explain this to me: How does a tiny sapling have the ability to lift a car up into the air as it grows? In reality, if there actually was a small sapling growing under a car (almost an impossibility, given the fact that there would be no sunlight under the car to keep the sapling alive), the sapling would invariably grow up around the car (assuming it could actually begin growing under a car at all), and not lift the car 20-30-40 feet into the air as it grows over the years. Come on, guys... you can't actually believe these photos are real!

chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) http://boingboing.net/2009/06/25/junkyard-workers-ens.html Harry, you must've had a boring childhood. You've got no imagination or sense of belief in the extraordinary *sarcasm off* Believe what you will, but I think it's possible. Edited October 8, 2014 by chunkypeanutbutter
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Yep http://markmadson.com/truck-in-the-tree/ Putting a car up into a full grown tree isn't the same as the tree growing and lifting up a car as it grows.
JTalmage Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 A friend of mine was exploring some woods with some friends one time and just happened to look up and saw a mitsubishi suv in a tree. In the middle of the woods. With no real way to drive one into the woods.
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 http://boingboing.net/2009/06/25/junkyard-workers-ens.html Ok, I guess you're right. I mean, it must be true. After all, it's on the internet.
Harry P. Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I know YOU know it's possible. XD It's impossible for a tiny sapling to lift a 2,000-3,000 pound vehicle into the air as it grows. If you believe otherwise, fine. You're free to believe in anything you want to believe in.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) If you believe otherwise, fine. You're free to believe in anything you want to believe in. I believe a race of intelligent snails created the universe in 13.5 days, that the universe is only about 100 years old (I mean, before TV, how could you possibly KNOW what happened before anyway??), and that the snails are secretly scheming to come out one day and eat us all. And as of this instant, it's on the internets, so it has to be true. Edited October 8, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
