Thank you Luis and Ron.

About half of the chassis is assembled so far and I should be able to complete it tomorrow. It's getting there...

I finally finished the chassis on this car. The rear of the exhaust pipes have to run between the shocks and the frame rails and then go under the springs to attach to the floorpan on the outside of the frame rails. I wound up having to partially disassemble the rear end to get the exhaust routed correctly.

The interior is completely assembled (I have to reattach the steering wheel to the dashboard.) and attached to the top side of the floorpan. The carpet is flocked Black. The resin seats and door panels were purchased from Ed Fluck and are done in a custom tuck & roll pattern. I painted the tuck & roll portions Lavender and flocked the remaining parts in Violet. There is a thin BMF strip at the top of the door panels and the resin cranks and handles were painted chrome silver. The dashboard is painted body color (Tamiya Purple) and detailed with BMF and chrome silver paint. The kit's dash gauge was installed and covered with clear epoxy for a lens. I used a resin tuck & roll steering wheel cover from ReplMinCoMD because it went well with the interior pieces and I painted it Lavender.

I still have to attach the radiator hoses, but I'm not adding the usual array of battery cables, heater hoses and brake lines. I feel that just the spark plug wires are enough on this one (maybe I'm getting lazy in my old age).

The glass is in and drying so I'm hoping to be able to wrap up this model tomorrow and post it in Under Glass. Thanks for following along.

Lookin' Good Rich!

A few thoughts! Those are super long tail pipes! I'll bet they are two piece in real life. On most of my models I'll cut up the exhaust... tail pipe, muffler, front pipe... and then reattach them with bits of straight pin. That's because in some kits they want you to do final placement of their one piece exhaust before adding the rear assembly etc. Doing it my way allows me to fish the parts through and even adjust angles etc before I add glue to the pins for final placement.

I agree with you on plumbing... in my old age (and you got me by 10 years!) I'm no longer trying to build show stoppers, so I do the hoses, distributer wiring, and I only do battery cables as far as you can see them from the top. I also will add a brake line from the master cylinder, but again, only sticking downward until it goes out of sight!

Keep going! You are near done!

Thanks Tom. I usually do the same thing with battery cables and brake lines in the engine room.... only running them as far as you can see them. I just didn't feel like doing that extra bit of work on this one.
