jbwelda Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) (edited to use the right brand name!) hi all I need an edelbrock intake manifold for a 4 bbl carb to somewhat hopefully match the one my friend has on a car I am building a model of for him. here are a couple photos of it. if anyone knows of anything like this out in the resin/aftermarket world, please let me know. I am pretty well convinced nothing like this ever came in a plastic kit, but if you know otherwise please let me know about that as well. many thanks in advance! jb Edited October 18, 2014 by jbwelda
outkast1027 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Have one real similar in resin text me and i ll sendu a pic of it 9012752771
High octane Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 That looks like a "Victor" manifold, and I do believe one of the resin casters does that manifold.
tooltas Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 if its a big block then find the amt's new tool 57 chevy street rod kit
espo Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 If you still can't find the intake, look in any of the old NASCAR kits. Looks a lot like the intake in the Polar Lights #43 Petty Torino.
jbwelda Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 hey thanks all, Jeremy I can't text you but I sent you a PM, get back to me if you can, otherwise I will try to locate that Petty kit. sorry about the stupid misspelling...it was my dyslexia attacking! jb
horsepower Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) All of the Revell/Monogram NASCAR kits have this style (single plane) intake manifolds, but in 1/24 scale, the ASA Camaro kits are in 1/25 scale, and the kits that had the V-8 engines and not the V-6's actually had the Victor intake, but I have all my open ones boxed, so I can't verify the Edelbrock name on them. jbwelda Posted October 19, 2014 Author Posted October 19, 2014 the Edelbrock name would not be necessary on the part I need and actually 1/24 or 1/25 would not make a big difference. I have a couple leads already but if they don't turn out I will check into those NASCAR kits (may have one buried somewhere but they were never my interest). thanks for the replys and leads! jb
jbwelda Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 >VGC Resins has it for Chevy. thanks. happen to have a link or a contact for them? a quick google of it didn't bring up a site. thanks again, already have a lead but don't mind checking out another, jb
jbwelda Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 oh wait, maybe you mean Manny at VCG Resins, not VGC? sent an email to him so thanks again for the tip! jb
Dragfreak Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Since you're building a replica, have you got any idea where to find the Heartbeat of America valve covers?
jbwelda Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 >Since you're building a replica, have you got any idea where to find the Heartbeat of America valve covers? that was going to be my next question! I found some that were close in my parts box and I am either going to ignore or perhaps decal the text on them. jb
