Raul_Perez Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Very nice, Dale!! How about a few more pics!!
dub Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Looks great, Dale! I hope you can make the next meeting. I'd love to get a few pics of that thing, not to mention check it out without the camera! 917's are a favorite of mine, and yours hits the spot!
Modelmartin Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 That is a really well done model. To look that good in close-up shots is really something. It's so cleanly built and nicely detailed. Many thumbs up!
JHDrew Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Very nice work. Hope to build mine this year with Harld Bradford's engine installed in there. Again, great job and very clean work.
Brendan Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Nicely done kit. Always liked the Martini paint scheme. What color did you used on the exhaust and the bracket?
935k3 Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Nicely done kit. Always liked the Martini paint scheme. What color did you used on the exhaust and the bracket? The bracket is a photo etched part that had texture etched on the surface and smoother around the edges. I just gave it a black wash. The exhaust was painted flat white then dirtied up with the black(oil stain) from Tamiya's Master Weathering set 'D'. Thanks to all for the compliments.
Randy Kern Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 An awesome build Dale, right down to the colors on the wheel spokes!
