1/24DragAndStreetCars Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Well here's my brand new kit from my LHS, $10 with 50% off coupon.
1/24DragAndStreetCars Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 I'm building this COMPLETELY stock! That mean no crazy upgrades on the six pack, no special suspension, and sadly, no awesome wheels. So first update! The engine!
1/24DragAndStreetCars Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 We'll color decided! Gold! Yes, gold. Combines well with flat black! Don't worry this is before it's dry and sanded
Mopar - D Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Nice start. Are you hand painting these parts.
1/24DragAndStreetCars Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 Yes, I am currently earring money for an airbrush. I'm kinda NOT rich, so, yeah. BTW when i have money $350+, what do you guys recommend
Mopar - D Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Joseph I use this Grex that came as a package its a little more than what your looking for but it is a nice airbrush package. Grex GCK03 Airbrush Combo Kit with Tritium.TG3 Airbrush, AC1810-A Compressor, Accessories and DVD
slusher Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 If you don't clear the gold it will come off on your hands...
gordon Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Might I suggest, an Iwata Eclipse or Devilbiss DAGR or Badger Patriot for the air brush. Air, use either Carbon Dioxide or Nitrogen, need guages, check with welding supply companies. The 3 airbrushes are all quality items and parts easy to clean. The air supply is quiet, clean, no water separator req'd. Dual guages let you dial exact pressures. Cheers Eh!
Guest Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Even without a airbrush, using a spray can will yield better results tan brush painting. also, Dodge really did not offer a bright gold color in 70. I do admire you for building it stock however.
