Snake45 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I looked, but couldn't find them, just particular pages here and there. Is there an online site for vintage (1960s) NHRA and AHRA rulebooks? If there's not and someone would like to start a project, I have the '71 NHRA book that I'd be happy to scan and contribute.
W-409 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 There are three on Terry Sumner's Fotki page. Looks like all of them doesn't have all pages scanned though, but I've used them on a couple of my current projects. Great source. I think it would be a good idea to scan these older Rulebooks for us model builders. http://public.fotki.com/tsumner/nhra-rulebooks/
Burnout Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I've run into the same obstacles when trying to research projects. Terry's page has the most info in one place that I have found. Snake, I would love to see the '71 rules! Finally, I am really surprised that NHRA & AHRA don't have these rules posted online in an "Archives" section. I doubt that modelers are the only people who could use this info.
VW93 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I posted this link awhile ago that I found on the HAMB. NHRA rules from 1958 through 1968.Perhaps this could be pinned to the top of the page for future reference?https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2006u57wp7sqpxt/eZJPZZcJdZ
Snake45 Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 Thanks so much VW93! That was EXACTLY what I was looking for! You are My New Favorite Person of the Day!
VW93 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Snake45, good to hear that was what you needed.I PM'd Casey last night and asked him to pin it to the top of the page for future reference.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I posted this link awhile ago that I found on the HAMB. NHRA rules from 1958 through 1968.https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2006u57wp7sqpxt/eZJPZZcJdZ Excellent resource. Downloading these and saving them on your own drive might be a good idea, as things DO sometimes go away on the HAMB.
