atomicholiday Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Hey all! I've been lurking for awhile now and decided it was time to join up. I'm Jeremy & I've been into and out of the hobby a number of times since the mid 70's. Got started when I was a kid and built until I discovered girls and got a real car! That was the end of my model building until I hit my mid-thirties. Time went by and I had a family. Then I got back into it for a few years until we decided it was time to move. Ten years later here I am getting back into it once again. I'm into anything that's either fast or just has great lines, but my main focus it factory stock muscle cars. Currently working on a Revell '31 woody wagon, Monogram Street Fighter, and about a hundred other unfinished projects. I do mostly box-stock builds. I'm looking forward to sharing my builds and learning what I can from you guys.
casassa Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Jeremy, if you're in central IN, you might be interested in checking out the HMCA. We meet 2nd and 4th Monday of every month. JIM
Modelbuilder Mark Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Welcome! I am a displaced Hoosier myself, now living in Arizona. I can confirm that if you are in Central Indiana, look up HMCA, or Circle City Modelers.
atomicholiday Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 Hey thanks for the welcome everybody! @ casassa - I'm closer to Ft. Wayne actually, but thanks for the invite. Wow, I've only known about this forum for about a week or so and I've already picked up about half a dozen tips/tricks that'll make my life easier on my next build.
casassa Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Jeremy, let me know if you need contact info for the Ft. Wayne club. If you'd like I can add you to the HMCA email newsletter list so you'll receive show flyers. In the past we've had members who drove from Ft Wayne to Indy to attend meetings and even how we have one member who lives in Grant Co. JIM
