raisin27 Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Finished up the Mustang. Its made from an SMBC resin body and Ford Cleveland motor, chassis is from the Jukebox Ford kit, along with some scratchbuilding and several bits from a Pro Stock Thunderbird kit. Paint is Tamiya with Model Masters clearcoat, and decals are from Slixx. Thanks for looking, Raisin

Raul_Perez Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Another nice build, Raisin!! That must look pretty cool sitting next to your SuperFly Mustang II!! How about a side-by-side photo!!

raisin27 Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 Great job Michael. Did you paint the Red & Blue or use decals? Thanks Len, Some of the red is painted, but most of the graphics are from the Slixx decal sheet. Raisin
Len Woodruff Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Thanks Len, Some of the red is painted, but most of the graphics are from the Slixx decal sheet. Raisin Looks like you matched the decal colors pefectly. What color red & blue did you use to match the decal color?????
gbritnell Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Great looking build. Excellent engine detail. You don't see many of these Mustang II's built into anything, stock or otherwise. How does the resin body compare to the production kit? gbritnell
raisin27 Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) Thanks gbritnell, The resin body was mastered off the Firefighter kit so its very similar. The main differences are the wheel wells being corrected and the hood changed from a stock Mustang design to the Pro Stock version that extends all the way to the windshield allowing for the proper engine set back. These along with a few other minor improvements make it a nice piece to work with. Raisin Great looking build. Excellent engine detail. raisin27 Posted February 6, 2008 Author Posted February 6, 2008 ?????Cundumdrum? Hey, kanaka style!!!
v8horsepowercj Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Wow that's a killer looking build raisin, great job at matching the paint and decal color you can't tell in the pics which is which. You nailed the stance on this one as well. My fave is still the superfly because I like the color scheme better on it. I'd also like to see a pic of the Superfly and this one side by side if you get time. Looks like an exact rep to the 1:1 nice job Chris
Rudy Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Wow awesome build raisin. I am a die-hard ford man, and local to you also........ Rudy
