samdiego Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) Recently, one of my nephews presented me with this, a freebie he'd scored somewhere. I've had two of these already, one when Lindberg first did it in the 60's and the more recent rerelease. I was pretty surprised to find much of this one cast in a really translucent metalflake red styrene with white tires. Anybody else run across one of these? This kit is pretty much for parts only as the frame has been broken into many little pieces. I'm glad it wasn't high on my wishlist. I would have cried if it had been a Monogram E-type Jag in this shape. Edited November 23, 2014 by samdiego
jbwelda Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 one thing, you will find the slicks far superior to Monograms in just about every way. rest of the kit is so so, but some nice parts for the parts box jb
Draggon Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 That was a one time only release by Lindberg called CheckmaTe. I dont know much else. Ive only seen pics of it. Your box is not the correct one. The interweb wont let me post a picture of the box, but google Lindberg checkmate and you'll see it in it's glorious wierdness.
Twokidsnosleep Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 This looks like cool kit Looking forward to you bringing it back from the dead
