kilrathy10 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Not sure what happened to the thread I posted last night, but here goes it, again...... I needed a trailer for my rehashed FLD and I thought of Dave's (Swampdog)'s setup....I had wanted to do a dumper, anyway, since my X-girlfriend destroyed my other one.....So I went to work....I was able to salvage the dump body and the frame from that event, so naturally, I didn't want it to go to waste.....Combining the two was obvious.....Here's what I did over the weekend.....
kilrathy10 Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 The paint is still drying on this thing....I hope to get to the tarp thingy, today, and get some outside pics with a load of gravel.....
Petetrucker07 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 The forum crashed lat night and was backed up to Nov 25. So everything posted after that is gone. This is how i wanted mine to look. Guess ill wait till its reissued to do it. Looks great, very nice job JT
kilrathy10 Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 OOOhhhh!!! That's what happened....Ok....Guess I'll have to repost a few more things, as well....Thanks for the info, Man....And the comment....Again...

kilrathy10 Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Got the tarp thingy worked out....Now I just need a tarp....I'm trying to find that Tulle stuff Dennis used for his.....I'll be PMing you, Man, by the way, to see where to find it.....
Petetrucker07 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 That looks really good. I hope they reissue the dumper soon, i need a few or a few cases. Did you use wire?
kilrathy10 Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Thanks, Man.....I used an old wire coat hanger I found.....Finally found another use for those things, other than getting into a car with.....
Hessel Hemstra Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Are these trailer that long or is it just wishful. I'm sorry to ask for I'm from Europe and we have some other regulation over here. The trailer is looking nice. Hessel the Netherlands

The trailer is looking nice. Hessel the Netherlands This trailer is 2 dump bodies put together. Out of the box is rough half this length.
Superpeterbilt Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 This trailer is 2 dump bodies put together. Out of the box is rough half this length. I think hes asking about the 1:1. Ive seen them from 22 ft - all the way to 40ft.
Petetrucker07 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Oh ok. Out here ive seen similiar style end dumps 45 foot. In fact ive been seeing a trailer very similar to the kit, tri axle and all, havent been able to snap a pic. Its pretty beat up and sagging in the middle, even the frame is sagging.
kilrathy10 Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Hey, Guys....Here's one I pulled off http://www.truckpaper.com This is a 39'er by Dorsey.... Edited December 12, 2014 by kilrathy10
Mopar - D Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Good build JT I always thought the original trailer looked a little short. Are you going to leave the stone dust on it I think it adds to it?
