chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I found like four of these at an antique (antique and cr-p) store nearby. They were in the boxes, didn't smell like cigarettes, or fire, weren't yellowed or broken at all.... They were $30 a piece. That a good price? I wouldn't touch any of them, I'd probably resell them, that is, if they're worth it. Any help appreciated
unclescott58 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I assume your talking about a Dodge Stealth promo from the 90's? They're not all that rare. $30 is probably on the high end for one. If your buying one for your collection, I'd say go for it. To resell? I don't know? I'd pass. Scott
Casey Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 As Roger said, these are easy to find for $5-$10. Pretty much any early to mid '90s AMT kit or promo is not worth much- Taurus SHO, Ford Probe, GEO Storm, etc.
Tom Geiger Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Gotta love those promos from the 1980s. I guess they made them in quantities that the market still hasn't absorbed. I bought a 1982 Cavalier at a recent show for $5, loose no box. I got a Chevy Blazer and pickup for $5 and $10 at a show in September. The Chevette I redid as my sister in law's car was a $15 promo as well. These can be taken apart and redone as a quick project.
iangilly Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I have all the stealth promos and I don't think I've ever paid over $15 ffor one.
