The Spoiler!

I decided to make a Spoiler for McScaren. I started with a piece of sheet plastic.

Next I cut the Sheet Plastic down to fit. Then I sanded the bottom edge of the Spoiler so when I glued it on it was on an angle.

Nose Brace!

I added a couple plastic strips to the inside of the Nose. This will make a good Gluing Spot for the Chassis later.

FLAIRS!

I cut the Fender Flairs off the ZZZZZ-28 Body so that I could add them to the McScaren Body. After a lot of Cutting & Fitting, I got a pretty good fit on the Rear Flairs.

Pretty good fit on the other side too.

Front Flairs!

After a little Cutting and a lot of Fitting I found the right position for the Front Flairs. Here is the first one glued in place.

Tire Check! Here is a quick mock-up with some Deals Wheels Tires. I decided to use the DW Tires instead of the Die Cast GTP Wheels & Tires, because they are sooo Wide.

We Need More Vents!

I trimmed the excess from the Tops of the Front Flairs and the Backs of the Rear Flairs.

Next I trimmed a little more off the Front Flairs...

Then I filled in part of the Tops of the Front Flairs to form 2 more Vents.

After a little clean up, the cut-off Rear Flairs formed 2 more Half-Moon shaped Vents.

Side Panels!

I am going to build up the Side Panel with pieces of sheet plastic. This is the first piece, a triangular shape that fits between the Front & Rear Flairs.

Here is the second piece, the lower panel.

The third piece fits between the edge of the Front Flair to the bottom edge of the Side.

Holes & Gaps!

I cut 2 pieces of plastic to fill in the Nose Sides. Then I shaped them with a Drum Sander Bit in the Dremel Tool and Sanding Sticks.

DSCN6902M_zps786633be.jpg

Then I fit 2 Moon Shaped plastic pieces in the holes on the rear fenders and glued them in place.

Applied some Putty.

DSCN6908M_zps6f465d85.jpg
