aurfalien Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) Hi, I just noticed the Fujimi 1/20 Tyrrell P34; http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10300654 I wonder how it compares to the Tamiya 1/20 P34? Also there is Ebrro Tyrrell; http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10285947 I know Tamiyas 1/12 003 is very cool. Curious if any one has seen these models? Edited December 22, 2014 by aurfalien
Rob Hall Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I've got the Ebbro one on preorder. I have a couple of their previous Lotus kits, they do good stuff
aurfalien Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 Nice! Whom did you pre-order from? And did they give an ETA?
niteowl7710 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I can't speak to the quality (as 1/20 F1 cars are not my thing), but the Fujimi kit is a straight reissue of a kit they did at some point over a decade or more ago.
2whl Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Ebbro came out with two different versions of the Tyrrell 003.....one is the same nose that is on the 1/12 Tamiya kit and the other is the flat 'shovel' nose. I have the kit above and I like it. The tires in the kit are especially nice. The rest of the kit is Tamiya-like in quality. You should buy one....you won't be disappointed

vairnut Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Agree that the Ebbro kits are very nice. I have all the Lotus kits and have the 003.
niteowl7710 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Just as an FYI, the EBBRO Tyrell 002 kit came out today for those were waiting.
aurfalien Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 Wow, looking at the assembly dirs, looks like a very nice kit.
ferrarijoe Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I have the 1/12 003. Had a lot of chrome to try and replicate aluminum. The ebbro kits are nice I have the jps lotus. They have tamiya paint codes in instructions. The decals don't like microsol, left what looks like water spots on them.
